Highly Recommend!
I was referred to Jon by a friend after I had an injury that left me with the debilitating spasms in my back and nerve pain down my right arm. After the first massage I felt more relief than I had and days. After each subsequent massage the pain got better and better and the relief lasted longer. The symptoms that took me into Valence are now gone. I am so thankful and now I am the one passing on the recommendation!

I moved to Springfield recently, and having struggled with low back pain for years, decided to try massage to help. I was skeptical at first, but Jon was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I was able to talk with him about my specific needs and really felt like the massage was tailored specifically for my body. He was able to find the areas of tension I didn't even know I had and worked to release them. After the session, I felt way less pain and stiffness. Unbelievable!
After an extended period of neck and shoulder pain I decided to schedule a 1-hour Neuromuscular and Myoskeletal Therapy session. Unbelievable relief in just one session! I've scheduled an additional follow up to try to get back to 100%. I now recommend Jon to my friends and colleagues.

No Ordinary Massage
After multiple years of being a satisfied customer at Valence Massage I finally remembered to leave a review. I'm like many people out there, pushing my body to the limit and not properly taking care of myself. That's where Jon comes in to save the day! He knows what he is doing and takes pride in making people better. He gets rid of my pain and allows me to resume my daily activities. No other choice for me.

After going every week for over a year using several therapists for "frozen shoulder" which rheumatologist said would be mine for rest of my life, Jon was able to over a period of a few weeks give me my mobility back. 100% normal range of motion. Love this man's results. And he's a delightful person to boot!

I made an appointment to see if massage could help my L2-3 sciatica (herniated disc). Jon took an extremely detailed history and an honest opinion that massage probably wouldn't help directly. He then did a very through exam to confirm that opinion. Lastly he taught me several life adjustments and techniques to reduce irritating motions.
It is ease to prescribe a lot of treatment. Getting a totally honest opinion is priceless and was deeply appreciated.

This is NOT your ordinary massage therapy establishment! I was having problems with my shoulder, and was pointed to proper treatment to prevent a situation that was developing. The results last way longer than other therapists.

THE BEST IN SPRINGFIELD!
I've had 10+ years of chronic back pain due to ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis and even chron's disease. After one session (ok durring and after), I cried like someone close to me had just passed, it was so amazing and relieving! I've never in my life, experienced pain relief like this even compared to Soma(muscle relaxant) and an IV full of delodid at the same time. Seriously. The BEST in Springfield by FAR!

A pleasant surprise!
I needed a last - minute massage and found Jon online. I was worked in the same day, and when I got lost he called me to guide me in! Talking before my massage, I found him very knowledgeable and practical in his approach. During the massage, I found myself relaxing and trusting him as he deftly and carefully worked on the places that were hurting so much. A week later, I still feel great. I will definitely be back!

I haven't felt better
I came in with a pinch behind my right shoulder blade that was induced by a massage at a well-known company. I had been to many other massage places to try to get it worked back out and no one was able to rid me of my pain until I came to Valence. Jon asked me if I had any issues and he actually listened instead of saying okay and just doing an all-over thing. He worked on my shoulder and knew the anatomy of the muscles so he was able to zone in on the actual problem. I have been pain-free since I left, but I will definitely be back for relaxation massages.
On a side note: My fiance has a broken back and he came in with me to get a massage as well. The man who did his massage was specialized in the areas my fiance needs help with. He has never walked out of a massage actually feeling better afterward. Usually it only feels good during the massage but is back to usual pain sfter, but he was able to walk around without pain which is worth more than any amount of money for me to see.
Therapeutic massage
Following a fall I suffered some shoulder and neck soft tissue injuries. Jon spent much time assessing my injuries and was able to target his treatment for my specific injuries. He made an amazing difference in my healing process. I would highly recommend Jon.

John is very good at what he does. He is not your everyday conventual massager. He is very well educated and gets to the root of the issue and not just bandaid it up. I would HIGHLY recommend John if you are having specific issues.

Jon is extremely skilled at what he does. I have gone to him for relief from chronic pain in my shoulder and neck area, and after each session with him I have experienced lasting relief. He is not pushy, insisting I come back at specific times. Rather, as I need and am able to be there, he's always accommodating, personable, and precise in targeting the areas needing relief. I have been to a number of massage therapists, and Jon exceeds them by far with the knowledge, skill, and strength to bring the needed healing.
